Artist Statement
Forces of nature, wildlife and street art are just a few influences of my work. Spending time in the mountains and deserts keep me motivated to paint new challenging landscapes and energetic themes. I have always been drawn to the bold lines and colors found in street art and try to incorporate that into my paintings.
I primarily work with acrylic paints and include spray paint, wood stains and glitter on occasion. When my canvas supply runs out, I search for animal skulls, old barn wood or broken skate decks and snowboards to turn into works of art.
Painting gives me a way to translate the energy that I feel from the mountains and our universe. I have always had a special connection with animals and nature. I try to replicate that energy and share it through my art works.
